Live Where the Champions Compete:
The Old Course at Broken Sound Club

Tucked away in an oak-lined setting just a few minutes from Broken Sound Club’s gates, you’ll discover an unparalleled golfer’s sanctuary.

Home to the PGA Champions Tour Allianz Championship since 2007, you enjoy the camaraderie and ambiance you would expect in a traditional golf club in an unexpected private place.

Reminiscent of courses in the Pinehurst, North Carolina area, you play the renowned course through a landscape of woods, stone bridges, lakes and lagoons. Originally designed by golf architect Joe Lee, it has been updated by designer Gene Bates. In 2014 the course was renovated with new Celebration grass.

The only community with its own private experience offers members an intimate golf club ambience and limited membership.
  • Double sided driving range with an extensive short game/practice area, featuring chipping, pitching and putting greens, as well as multiple practice bunkers
  • Private lessons with top teaching professionals
  • Social camaraderie with numerous mixers, member guests and tournaments
  • Own clubhouse with Dining Room, with both indoor and outdoor seating options, overlooking the majestic 18th green.

Broken Sound Club 2016 - Old Course / Hole 1

The opening hole is a snaked par 5 measuring 561 yards from the back tee.
Players can take dead aim at the fairway bunkers with their tee shots to set up their second shot.  Longer hitters will want to aim right or cut the corner to avoid driving through the fairway.  Hazards line the right side of the hole from 150 yards out so make sure your second shots are dialed in.
Approach shots will want to find this raised green as the entire circumference slopes down and away.
